American Laser Centers Names Health Care Veteran Steven Straus CEO

ALC expects Straus' health care acumen to drive focus on new product and
service offerings, corporate growth and medical expertise

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- American Laser Centers, the
leading provider of aesthetic services in the U.S., appoints Steven Straus as
its new CEO, to oversee the continued growth and national expansion of the
company.

Straus reports to Steven Brown, chairman of ALC's board of managers, and is
responsible for the strategic direction of the company along with national
operations. Straus assumes the role of CEO from James McDermott.

American Laser Centers plans to continue its aggressive rollout of new
products and services to meet the increased consumer demand for aesthetic
medical treatments, including laser hair removal, cellulite reduction, and
skin rejuvenation.

Previously, Straus was CEO of Cincinnati-based LCA-Vision, Inc. (Nasdaq:
LCAV), which provides laser vision correction services and operates under the
LasikPlus brand name. He provided executive leadership there and served as a
Board of Directors member beginning in 2006.

Straus' health care career spans three decades. His experience includes

officer at Titan Health Corp., an ambulatory surgery center; and general
manager of OR Partners, the Ambulatory Surgery Center division of TLC Vision
Inc. Previously, he was president of the healthcare products group at Jordan
Industries; senior vice president at Columbia/HCA and Medical Care America,
Inc.; and served in several management capacities at Baxter Healthcare and
American Hospital Supply Corp.
