ALM Names Scott Pierce as Vice President, Digital Product Development

NEW YORK--(Business Wire)-- ALM, an integrated media company, today announced the appointment of Scott Pierce to the new position of vice president, digital product development. Pierce, who has served as a consultant to the company on projects including ALM`s new Virtual LegalTech show, will be responsible for development of new revenues through online products and markets, including virtual events, webcasts, and e-learning initiatives. He will also oversee ALM`s legal conference business. Pierce will be based in New York City and will report to senior vice president Kevin Vermeulen. Pierce joins ALM from his own consulting firm, Virtual Events Media. Prior this, he served as CEO of Pacific Paintball LLC and as senior vice president at The Nielsen Company`s Travel Network. He has held a variety of senior management positions in the media, sports and association industries, for organizations including The American Hotel & Lodging Association, Advanstar, Reed Elsevier, Hearst and Miller-Freeman.
