National house cleaning company innovates with chemical-free methods to
disinfect against infectious diseases, control mold and mildew and kill dust
mites
ATLANTA--(Business Wire)--
Maid Brigade, a national house cleaning company, today launches a new green
cleaning technology which effectively eliminates all of the limitations of a
true green cleaning program.

Since Maid Brigade launched its Green Clean Certified service over two years
ago, the company has been searching for eco-friendly methods to control mold and
mildew, kill dust mites and effectively disinfect customer homes. Until
recently, the only methods available to effectively control these issues
included the use of disinfectants. Disinfectants are actually pesticides and
because of their toxic chemical content are prohibited in recognized green
cleaning certification such as Green Seal`s certification. Dry steam vapor
technology solves the problem without any chemicals at all.

How VapurClean Advantage Technology Works

Maid Brigade`s exclusive VapurClean Advantage utilizes a patented technology to
sanitize and disinfect using only water, no chemicals whatsoever. Heated to high
temperatures in a pressurized boiler tank, the naturally occurring minerals in
normal tap water become nano-crystals. These nano-crystals, accelerated along
with the steam created through heating, can penetrate the cell membranes of
microorganisms to quickly destroy them. Dry steam vapor will not harm surfaces
or furnishings however.

The dry steam vapor infiltrates the microscopic pores which naturally occur in
all surfaces, where dirt and germs hide and multiply. Topical cleaners, on the
other hand, cannot reach into these tiny spaces and thus even the strongest
chemical disinfectant cannot thoroughly kill bacteria that cause illness. The
patented technology behind Maid Brigade`s VapurClean Advantage is proven to be
effective against infectious microorganisms such as MRSA, salmonella, staph,
type-A influenzas such as avian and swine (H1N1) flus, and others and qualifies
the tool as an EPA-registered disinfection device.

"With the addition of our VapurClean Advantage, Maid Brigade is able to
accomplish an even more thorough cleaning, while also substantially reducing the
amount of cleaning products we use in the home," said Cloud Conrad, the
company`s Vice President of Brand Strategies. "Being able to not just control
but kill mold, mildew, dust mites and germs with water alone allows us to
provide `industrial strength` results with the gentlest methods available. What
could be safer than water?"

Who Can Benefit

Early customer feedback has been quite positive according to Howard Purdy, Maid
Brigade`s Vice President of Operations. "Our VapurClean Advantage works
amazingly well on kitchen and bathroom fixtures, ovens, wood decks, patio
furniture, upholstery, carpets, windows, grout and tile - literally any surface
in the home." People with young children, pets, the elderly and those with
compromised immune systems will especially benefit from the technology since
they are the most vulnerable populations to the health risks associated with
ordinary cleaning products. "Our cleaning solutions are Green Seal-approved so
they are safe and healthy to use indoors. But with VapurClean, we can even
further reduce the risks of exposure to cleaning products for our customers and
employees because the process is chemical-free," Purdy added.
