Construction Writers Association Presents 2009 Marketing Communications Awards in Chicago

CHICAGO--(Business Wire)-- The Construction Writers Association (CWA) recently presented its ninth annual Marketing Communications Awards at the organization`s fall conference in Chicago. Entries in three categories-corporate communications, public relations and advertising-plus the T. Randolph Russell Award for external newsletters-were evaluated by a panel of judges on the basis of editorial content, graphic design and effectiveness in achieving the stated marketing goals. Entries were received from associations, advertising agencies, PR firms, large and small contractors, trade associations and publishers. "The communications experts gathered for this year`s judging commented throughout the day on the increasingly high standards being set by the entrants in all categories," says Mike Anderson, senior editor with Construction Equipment magazine and chair of the CWA Marketing Communications Awards. Award winners in the Corporate Communications category were: * Parsons Brinkerhoff: "Beginnings" annual report. * Two Rivers Marketing: "Vermeer Pipeline" binder. Honorable Mentions were awarded to: * Kiewit Corporation:Kieways magazine. * Reed Construction Data - Canada: Reed Construction Data Overview video. Award winners in the Public Relations category were: * American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE): "The Report Card for America`s Infrastructure" campaign. Honorable Mentions were awarded to: * Performance Marketing: Hilti TE 1000-AVR Breaker Product Launch media kit. * Randall-Reilly Publishing Co.: Equipment World "Chuck" campaign. Award winners in the Advertising category were: * GyroHSR: John Deere G-Series Grader gatefold advertisement. Honorable Mentions were awarded to: * American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA): T.C.C. Industry Advocacy advertising campaign. * Rhea + Kaiser: Cat Commercial Construction advertising insert. The Marketing Communications "Wow!" Award was presented to American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) for "The Report Card for America`s Infrastructure" video campaign. The T. Randolph Russell Newsletter Award was presented to Constructive Communication, Inc. for "Structural Journal."
