Applied Industrial Technologies to Report First Quarter Earnings, Hold Annual
Meeting on October 20, 2009

(NYSE: AIT) today said it expects to report fiscal 2010 first quarter earnings
before market opens on the morning of Tuesday, October 20, 2009.  The
company's fiscal 2010 first quarter ended September 30, 2009.


Also on that date, the company will hold its Annual Meeting of Shareholders at
10 a.m. ET at the company's World Headquarters in Cleveland.
