Enterprise Honors Garcetti and JPMorgan Chase for Strong Housing Solutions

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Enterprise Community Partners (Enterprise)
in Los Angeles will host the 2nd annual Southland Social on Thursday, October
8, 2009 at 6:30 pm at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood. Themed
"Strengthening Communities through Housing Solutions," the evening will laud
honorees that have shown extraordinary dedication in working with Los Angeles'
neediest communities and offering strong neighborhood solutions during the
current economic downturn.


The Enterprise honorees are:


    --  Visionary of the Year - The Honorable Eric Garcetti, President, Los
        Angeles City Council

    --  Business Partner of the Year - JPMorgan Chase & Co.

Long-time ally of affordable housing, Councilman Garcetti is known for his
support of the nations' largest Affordable Housing Trust Fund and championing
the 2008 moratorium on foreclosure-related evictions of renters in the city of
Los Angeles.  Chase's commitment to stabilizing communities includes opening
nine homeownership centers in the state to assist struggling homeowners, and
locally investing in the New Generation Fund supporting the acquisition of
land for affordable housing development.


Since 1997, Enterprise in southern California has invested more than $533
million to produce more than 6,000 affordable homes for more than 20,000
people, including 6,000 children. Enterprise has pledged an additional $700
million commitment to the city of Los Angeles through technical assistance,
