Simmons College School of Management Ranked No. 1 in the Nation for 'Greatest
Opportunities for Women' by Princeton Review

BOSTON, Oct. 8 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Simmons College School of
Management, the only AACSB-accredited business school in the world offering an
MBA program designed specifically for women, has been named by the Princeton
Review as the number one MBA program in the U.S. with the "greatest
opportunities for women." Simmons School of Management is the only
Boston-based MBA program to rank in this category on the 2010 list.

The ranking is part of The Best 301 Business Schools 2010 edition and is based
on the Princeton Review's survey of 19,000 students attending the 301 business
schools profiled. Princeton Review editors describe Simmons School of
Management as "unique, forward-thinking, rigorous and intimate," and as
"drawing students from diverse personal and professional backgrounds."
Students from the Simmons MBA program were quoted as saying, "The curriculum
is rigorous and current," and "The school is way ahead of a lot of the trends
- principled leadership is part of the mission and incorporated areas like
CSR, sustainability, and ethics, long before it was trendy."

In a quote from the Princeton Review, Robert Franek, SVP, Publishing, said the
Simmons School of Management is " ...one of the best institutions readers
could attend to earn an MBA. We chose the 301 business schools based on our
opinion of their academic programs and offerings, as well as our review of
institutional data we collect from the schools. We also strongly consider the
candid opinions of students who rate and report their experience at their
schools."

"We are honored to receive this recognition," said Deborah Merrill-Sands, Dean
of the Simmons School of Management. "Simmons has developed an innovative
curriculum and a powerful learning environment designed to prepare women for
career advancement and leadership roles in for-profit and not-for-profit
organizations. Our curriculum design and teaching are based on 30-plus years
of research on the impact of gender dynamics in organizations, and the
strategies women need to succeed. It is rewarding to see our commitment to our
mission of educating women for powerful and principled leadership reflected in
this prestigious ranking."

Ranked as one of the top 50 socially responsible business programs by the
Aspen Institute, and a top 25 program for entrepreneurship by Entrepreneur
magazine and the Princeton Review, Simmons School of Management offers unique
management and leadership programs for women of diverse backgrounds at all
phases of their careers - including undergraduate and graduate management
programs; an entrepreneurship certificate program for new business venture
creation; and leadership development programs for mid- to senior-level
managers. The Simmons School of Management serves as a resource to leading
corporations through its research and consulting services and the Center for
Gender in Organizations.
