Program Enhances Vendor Quality Assurance, Provides Platform for Efficient,
Direct Buyer-Seller Relationships

NEW YORK, Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- DOTmed, the leading public medical equipment
marketplace, and the leader in online medical equipment auctions, today
announced that it has launched its Certified Parts Vendor (CPV) Program. The
CPV Program was designed to identify top-tier stocking parts vendors, provide
enhanced vendor due diligence and create increased buyer confidence. The
long-term goal of the CPV Program is create stronger direct buyer-seller
relationships.

The program is free to use for biomedical engineers and other qualifying parts
end-users who register on www.dotmed.com. Buyers use DOTmed's existing online
Parts Hunter interface for part requests, and they can also phone in parts
requests to a toll free number.

With more than 155,800 parts listed on DOTmed, and more than 57,300 parts
requests a year, the company recognized the need to provide buyers enhanced
quality assurance through third party information about parts vendors. The
program also provides greater face-to-face access to vendors by eliminating
middlemen, which brings greater efficiencies and economic value.

Buyers learn about qualifying sellers by viewing their Certified Parts Vendor
Profile on DOTmed, which must include a written warranty, return policy, and
acceptance policy, all posted on DOTmed. In addition, CPVs have to sign
DOTmed's Code of Ethics. Participants in the program are fully committed to
the parts business, and DOTmed provides the transparency that gives buyers
confidence.

Buyers are also able rate the sellers who deliver superior service and quality
parts after the sale through the DOTmed 5-Star Rating System. As an incentive
for buyers to rate CPV sellers regularly, the program offers valuable
Rewards-For-Ratings Points. Buyers get points for each parts request they
make, and bonus points for rating the vendor after the sale.

"This is actually a program that buyers and sellers of medical equipment parts
asked us to develop to address chronic problems in the industry," said DOTmed
Founder and CEO Philip Jacobus. "As the largest and most sophisticated online
marketplace for medical equipment and parts, we were in a position to provide
this valuable service. The program provides an extra measure of confidence
and quality control that buyers need as well as economic value to both
parties."

Josh Glas, Parts Director for Adam Medical Sales, Inc. added, "The program
clearly separates those companies committed to making the independent parts
business trustworthy, reliable, and worry-free from those who just dabble in
parts. We are a Certified Parts Vendor and are happy to be associated with
the other quality CPVs who passed DOTmed's stocking parts vendor test, which
sets the bar pretty high."
