LOS ANGELES, CA, Oct 08 (MARKET WIRE) --
TOWN HALL Los Angeles' weekly radio magazine "TOWN HALL Journal" is now
in its fifth week on 89.3 FM KPCC - Southern California Public Radio -
airing Sunday evenings at 9:00 PM. An informative half-hour news
magazine, "TOWN HALL Journal" takes an in-depth look into issues
important to Angelenos. Hosted by veteran ABC News Correspondent, Judy
Muller, the show draws upon TOWN HALL's speakers, both past and present.
Listener comments have been favorable. "Town Hall Los Angeles and KPCC
together, Wow! My two favorite places to get in-depth information from
people who understand and promote thoughtful discourse." And, "I have
heard great things about Town Hall Los Angeles, and, having never been to
one of their events, I greatly enjoyed having the opportunity to listen to
this program. Judy Muller did a great job of covering this topic in a
balanced way!"
Upcoming TOWN HALL Journal episodes are on October 11, "Creating a Healthy
City: The San Francisco Model for Health Care Reform" featuring Gavin
Newsom, Mayor of the City and County of San Francisco; October 18, "Hand
Washing, Not Hand-Wringing: Preparing for H1N1"; October 25, "Banking
Bounces Back? Revisiting the Economic Crisis."
The "Journal" enhances TOWN HALL's events by further investigating the
critical issues facing Los Angeles -- a city often called the Ellis Island
of the 21st century. Host Judy Muller brings her independent eye to
exploring the city's accelerating transformation. The broadcast shares the
best ideas of recent TOWN HALL speakers and dips into the "Vault of
Speakers-Past," providing insight into the city's history.
Judy Muller, an Emmy Award-winning television correspondent and National
Public Radio commentator, joined the faculty of the USC Annenberg School
for Communication in August 2003. As part of ABC's "Nightline" team, she
received an Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Award for coverage of the
1992 Los Angeles riots and an Emmy Award for coverage of the O.J. Simpson
murder trial.
One of the Top 10 Leadership Forums in the nation, TOWN HALL Los Angeles
