New Meridian Announces Change of Auditors

  CALGARY, ALBERTA, Oct 08 (MARKET WIRE) -- 
New Meridian Mining Corp. (the "Corporation") (NEX: NWC.H) is pleased to
announce that it has appointed Davidson & Company LLP, Chartered
Accountants as auditor of the Corporation effective September 30, 2009.
The former auditor, BDO Dunwoody LLP resigned at the request of the
Corporation effective September 30, 2009. The auditors for Philippine
Metals Corp are Davidson & Company LLP. As announced in its news release
dated May 28th, 2009 and July 29th, 2009, the Corporation has entered
into a letter of intent that provides for the business combination of the
Corporation and Philippine Metals Corp.
