WASHINGTON--(Business Wire)--
TMG President Jane Ottenberg spoke on "The Future of Publishing" at a panel
event that drew more than 100 people, sponsored by ASAE and the Center for
Association Leadershipand Association Media & Publishing.

Jane touched on four major topics, based on research, that she believes are
important for future success in publishing:

* For the first time, more media money is being spent on branded content than on
traditional advertising.
* Personalization: Because of printing and online technology, people will expect
to receive information that directly relates to them.
* Online video is a revolution that will change how people experience content
and will be a profitable way to control migration to the web. Professionally
produced online video now receives 86 percent of online advertising revenue.
* Taking full advantage of pushing out an increasing amount of content through
multiple distribution channels and being smart on search will pull an increasing
number of people to an organization. The result will increase brand strength,
thought leadership, and revenue.

Jane speaks frequently about publishing issues and was named by Publishing
Executive as one of the "Top Women in Publishing." She also created Engage,
TMG`s monthly e-newsletter about future trends in publishing, as well as
magazineroistories.com, a blog spotlighting research on magazine success
stories.
