Dallas Regional Chamber Hosts Forum on Solving Challenges for Sustainable
Technologies

DALLAS, Oct. 8 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- As sustainable technologies grow
from an emerging trend to a national standard, the industry faces challenges
regarding financial viability and accessibility for consumers. In addition,
the federal government has taken unprecedented steps addressing the financial
challenge by fostering investment through the stimulus bill and other research
and commercialization grants.

Solutions for these challenges will be addressed at the Chamber's "2nd Annual
Sustainable Technologies Forum" on October 21. This luncheon program will
bring together over 100 regional green technology and energy executives for
panel discussions and networking.

"The sustainable technology sector is a growing contributor to the Dallas/Fort
Worth region's technology workforce and economy," said Alan Ash, Systems
Application Leader, Trane Commercial Systems and Vice Chair for the Chamber's
Sustainable Technologies Committee. As a leading region for sustainable
technologies, DFW has over 9,000 employees in its green economy, ranking it
within the top 15 U.S. metro areas for green jobs according to Global Insight.

Topics addressed during the Chamber's forum will include how to access public
and private green tech funding opportunities and technology solutions in
energy storage and electric transmission, such as the CREZ project. Through
the CREZ project, Texas is undergoing major energy transmission updates,
delivering wind energy produced in rural areas to urban population centers.
The forum will also highlight DFW companies that are developing cutting-edge
green building and energy efficiency technologies making sustainability more
publicly attainable.

The forum will provide an opportunity for executives to connect with those who
are contributing to the region's green economy. Expert speakers from Hunt
Transmission Services LLP, the Beck Group and Westar Trade Resources will
participate in the event.

The event will be held at the Hotel InterContinental Dallas (15201 Dallas
Pkwy, Dallas) from 11:30 a.m. - 2:15 p.m. To register, visit
www.DallasTBC.org. The cost to attend is $55 for Chamber members and $75 for
general admission.

Event sponsors include Gardere Wynne Sewell, Trane Commercial Systems, Westar
Trade Resources, The University of Texas at Arlington, and Trinity Industries.
