bebe stores, inc. (Nasdaq:BEBE) today reported retail sales of $120.1 million
for the fiscal quarter ended October 3, 2009, a decrease of 23.6% compared to
sales of $157.3 million for the fiscal quarter ended October 4, 2008. Same store
sales for the fiscal quarter ended October 3, 2009 decreased 25.7% compared to a
decrease of 10.8% in the prior year. 

As of October 3, 2009, average finished goods inventory per square foot was
approximately 19.4% lower as compared to the prior year.
