India's Jet Airways says CEO resigns, names acting CEO

MUMBAI Oct 8 (Reuters) - Indian airlines operator Jet Airways (JET.BO) on Thursday said its Chief Executive Officer Wolfgang Prock-Schauer has resigned, effective Oct 15.

Nikos Kardassis, who was Senior Vice President, The Americas for the airline will take over as acting chief executive, the company said in a statement.

Kardassis was formerly the CEO of Jet from 1994 to 1999, while Prock-Schauer took over in 2003, the company said. (Reporting by Aniruddha Basu & Janaki Krishnan; Editing by Jarshad Kakkrakandy)
