Campaign to bring integrity, unity and new vision to Upper Manhattan

NEW YORK, Oct. 12 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Harlem based banker, Vince
Morgan, today announced his campaign to represent New York's 15th
Congressional District. The seat has been occupied for the last 40 years by
Congressman Charles B. Rangel. "It's time for change," says Morgan. "Our
District needs new leadership that is in touch with the community and the
issues that confront us today."

Morgan's professional career spans two decades in business, banking and public
service. His relationships in the communities of Upper Manhattan are
extensive. He is a vice president and community banking officer for TD Bank.
He chairs the 125th Street Business Improvement District and is a director of
the Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce and The Riverside Theater. He serves on
advisory boards for Harlem Biennale, Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine,
and Alianza Dominicana. He teaches financial literacy and mentors Future
Giants of Harlem. In 2007, Morgan led the creation of Harlem NOW, a
non-partisan group dedicated to mobilizing community residents to work
together in solving grassroots issues.

In 2001, Morgan's interest in public service led him to volunteer in
Congressman Rangel's Harlem office. His work led to a staff position as the
Congressman's special assistant. In 2002, he was campaign director for the
Congressman's successful re-election.

Born and raised in Chicago, Morgan has lived and worked in Harlem for ten
years. He dropped out of high school at age 16 but succeeded in turning his
life around. He obtained his GED; attended Howard University in Washington,
D.C.; graduated with a bachelor's degree in business management from the
University of Illinois at Chicago and earned a Master's degree in public
administration from Columbia University.

"The 15th District deserves good leadership," says Morgan, "I hope voters will
unite and empower me to be their voice in Washington."
