About Lung Cancer
Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death both nationally and in
Massachusetts. In 2009, it will claim more lives than breast, prostate,
colon, liver, kidney, and melanoma cancers combined. Of the 5,120
Commonwealth residents who will be diagnosed with lung cancer in 2009, more
than 60 percent will be never-smokers or former smokers who quit decades ago.

About Lung Cancer Alliance
The Lung Cancer Alliance (www.LungCancerAlliance.org) is the only national
non-profit organization solely dedicated to patient support and advocacy for
people living with lung cancer and those at risk for the disease. Lung Cancer
Alliance is committed to reversing the decades of stigma and neglect by
empowering patients, elevating awareness and changing health policy.
