New German govt unlikely to cut Eurofighter-sources

BERLIN Oct 15 (Reuters) - Germany's new centre-right coalition would be very unlikely to make cuts to a planned order for the European Eurofighter (EAD.PA) project, sources from two of the parties involved in talks said on Thursday.

"In all probability, the order is not something that can be changed," said a Free Democrat (FDP) member of the working group drawing up proposals on defence policy. A conservative member of the working group confirmed this.

Chancellor Angela Merkel's conservatives are in talks to form a centre-right coalition with the FDP.
