HOLLYWOOD, CA, Oct 15 (MARKET WIRE) --
Seven Arts Pictures plc (Seven Arts) (NASDAQ: SAPX) announced today the
acquisition of the motion pictures "Grinder" and "The Somnambulist" for
foreign and domestic distribution.

Seven Arts agreed to act as sales agent for the two pictures through its
subsidiary, Seven Arts Pictures Louisiana.

"The Somnambulist," starring Heather McComb ("Prison Break," "Party of
Five"), Gbenga Akinnagbe ("The Taking of Pelham 1,2,3," "The Wire"), and
Edward Furlong ("Terminator 2: Judgment Day," "American History X"), was
written by Andy Sparaco and directed by Rachel Grissom. "The Somnambulist"
is currently in post-production.

"Grinder" is written and directed by Richard Clark Jr. and stars Nikki
Griffin ("The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift," "Entourage") and Kris
Lemche ("Final Destination 3," "Knockaround Guys"). Seven college students
on their way to a Thanksgiving break getaway find themselves in the creepy
town of Chapman when their car breaks down. The students quickly find out
that the "Roadkill Capital of the World" may be far more sinister than it
seems at first.

Peter Hoffman, CEO of Seven Arts, commented, "We are excited about these
two films and think they will be a strong addition to our lineup."
