BOWLING GREEN, Ky.--(Business Wire)--
Dr. Rand Paul has raised more money in the third quarter than any other Kentucky
Senate Candidate. Dr. Paul brought in $1,010,668 to beat his primary opponent,
Trey Grayson, by nearly $400,000 and the leading Democrat nearly 2-1.

Despite announcing his official campaign midway through the quarter on August
12, Dr. Paul was able to leverage strong grassroots support and attract over
14,000 individual contributions averaging less than $75 each. Grayson`s totaled
just $642,857 despite an inside the beltway fundraiser thrown by 23 sitting
United States Senators that charged lobbyists $500 per plate.

"Rand Paul may not be the choice of the political insiders and special
interests, but results like this show he is the people`s choice," said campaign
manager David Adams. "Rand is leading the way against deficit spending and
bailout deals coming at us from both political parties. When they say they will
be different, Rand's opponents just have no credibility on the issues people
care about the most. Rand means what he says and that's why we are seeing this
progress in the Republican primary."
