Toyota says Sept China car sales rise 45 pct yr/yr

SHANGHAI Oct 15 (Reuters) - Toyota Motor Corp (7203.T) said on Thursday its car sales in China rose 45 percent in September from a year earlier to a record monthly high of about 72,000 vehicles.

In the first nine months of the year, the top Japanese automaker sold about 486,000 cars in China, up 13 percent from a year earlier, a company spokesman said. (Reporting by Fang Yan and Edmund Klamann)
