UPDATE 1-MDC Partners to offer $200 mln senior notes

* Net proceeds to repay certain credit facility, debentures

* Co entering new 5-yr, $75 mln revolving credit facility

Oct 16 (Reuters) - MDC Partners Inc (MDZa.TO) said it plans to offer $200 million of senior unsecured notes due 2016 in a private placement.

The company said it would use the net proceeds of the offering to repay outstanding balance under its senior secured credit facility maturing in June 2012, redeem its outstanding C$45 million convertible debentures due June 2010 and for general corporate purposes.

MDC Partners also said it intends to enter into a new five-year $75 million revolving credit facility to replace its current revolving credit facility.

Shares of the company closed at C$8.70 Friday on the Toronto Stock Exchange. (Reporting by Brenton Cordeiro in Bangalore; Editing by Anil D'Silva)
