US Airways Goes for the Gold with Fare Sale to 2016 Olympic Games Host City Rio de Janeiro

Customers can score great savings on flights to Rio de Janeiro when they book their trip by Nov. 15 and begin travel between Jan. 7 and Feb. 10, 2010. "US Airways, like the Olympic Games, is going to South America for the first time," said Senior Vice President, Marketing and Planning, Andrew Nocella. "US Airways customers can enjoy affordable fares and a flight schedule that allows for easy connections from 82 cities to Rio de Janeiro." Customers may purchase tickets to Rio de Janeiro through US Airways` Web site at www.usairways.com, by calling US Airways Reservations at 1-800-428-4322 or through their travel agent. The new route is US Airways` first service to South America and the airline`s fifth new international route this year. The flight will originate at the airline`s hub in Philadelphia and continue on to Charlotte and Rio de Janeiro. Service between Charlotte and Rio de Janeiro will be operated with Boeing 767 aircraft with seating for 18 in Envoy, US Airways` international business class, and 186 in the main cabin.
