CTIA Offers $25,000 Package to Winner of MobiTechFest Americas SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(Business Wire)-- Investorfest Media announced today that it has received a record number of submissions for its MobiTechFest Americas conference on October 27, 2009 in Santa Clara, CA. Leading investors and executives with active focus on the mobile and wireless sector will hear directly from 16 innovators with a broad range of offerings in mobile entertainment, mobile payments, content, mobile enterprise applications and platforms and wireless health. Attendees will also be privileged to hear a panel of top-tier investors discuss fund-raising strategies over lunch, moderated by Priya Ganapati, Staff Writer for Wired Digital, the online arm of the Wired magazine. The panel will include Tim Chang from Norwest Ventures, Ken Elefant from Opus Capital, and Ryan Floyd from Storm Ventures. "MobiTechFest received a record number of submissions this year, proving there's no recession for innovation, and perhaps even that challenging economic times actually fuel innovation," said Gopan Madathil, founder and president of Investorfest Media, the producer of MobiTechFest Americas and MobiTechFest Europe. "The unique setting provided by MobiTechFest gives the entrepreneur a chance to meet, network and interact with qualified investors throughout the day at the conference." Todd Sullivan, CEO of CrowdZone, the "Wireless Startup Champion" selected by the Fund Fest panel of judges, noted, "MobiTechFest is incredibly well organized and truly has the interests of the entrepreneur at heart. Their pre-presentation coaching was invaluable to our success." Jeff Fedor, Co-Founder of ParkVu another MobiTechFest finalist, notes, "We made more progress with our fundraising process within a day of working with MobiTechFest than we had in the past several months of activity, and had many positive responses to our Fund Fest presentation." The 16 companies selected to present at MobiTechFest seek a range of funding - seed, first institutional round, additional funding, Series-A and B rounds - from $1.0 to 10.0 million for development, manufacturing, launch, acceleration or expansion.
