Symphogen Appoints Jørgen Petersen as Chief Development Officer

-Antibody Development Veteran to Oversee the Clinical Advancement of Symphogen`s Novel Antibody Pipeline- COPENHAGEN--(Business Wire)-- Symphogen A/S today announced that Jørgen Petersen, M.D., DMSc, has joined the company`s executive management team as Chief Development Officer. Dr. Petersen comes to Symphogen from Genmab A/S. Dr. Petersen joined Genmab A/S as Medical Director in 2002. He has since held several positions of increasing responsibility to support the strategic development of the company`s monoclonal antibody pipeline. Prior to joining Genmab, Dr. Petersen was Head of Rheumatology, Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen. In parallel with his clinical career, Dr. Petersen served as associate and full Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Copenhagen. Dr. Petersen has significant international experience from his time as a post-doctoral fellow of Molecular and Experimental Medicine at the Institute of Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, California. Dr. Petersen has authored over 100 peer reviewed publications and several book chapters within the fields of cellular immunology, inflammation, rheumatology, hematology and immuno-pharmacology.
