Brazil open to additional measures to inflows tax

BRASILIA Oct 21 (Reuters) - Brazil's finance minister, Guido Mantega, said on Wednesday the government is open to additional measures to complement a tax on capital inflows that went into effect on Tuesday.

The government also does not see the tax, an effort to brake the appreciation of the country's currency, the real BRBY, as affecting initial public offerings in Brazil, he said. (Reporting by Isabel Versiani; Writing by Luciana Lopez; Editing by James Dalgleish)
