Iran promises "good news" on nuclear achievements
TEHRAN |
TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iran will have "good news" about its nuclear achievements in the coming months, a senior nuclear official was quoted by Iran's students news agency ISNA as saying on Wednesday.
"In the coming months, we will have good news for our nation about our nuclear achievements," said Mohammad Qanadi, deputy head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, ISNA reported.
Qanadi did not give any further details.
Talks between Iran and world powers on a deal to allay concerns about Tehran's nuclear drive started on Monday in Vienna.
The negotiations offered the first chance to build on understandings struck in Geneva on October 1 to defuse a long standoff over fears Iran's stockpiling of enriched uranium is a latent quest to develop atomic bombs, not fuel for power as it says.
The talks resumed on Wednesday after further delay over Tehran's hesitancy to endorse a deal.
