Pennsylvania Business Leaders Release New Report on State Economic Impact of
Climate Legislation
Press Briefing Day Before U.S. Senate Hearings To Start
On the eve of US Senate deliberations over climate legislation, Pennsylvania
business leaders will release new analysis showing strong economic and job
creation benefits for the state if climate and energy legislation is passed by
Congress. The new economic study, co-released with E2, Clean Economy Network
and CERES, was conducted by the University of California in collaboration with
the University of Illinois and Yale University. The report provides an
in-depth examination of the impacts on the state of Pennsylvania of three
pillars of federal legislation: energy efficiency, renewable energy and
cap-and-trade.
The report's co-author will join Pennsylvania business leaders to discuss the
findings on a press call Monday with reporters.

Stephen Cowell, E2 Member and representative for the Keystone
Energy Efficiency Alliance, a group of over sixty-five
businesses and non-profit organizations working to establish
more ambitious energy efficiency models for the Commonwealth.
Steve is also Chairman and CEO of Conservation Services Group,
a national energy efficiency services company that has worked
with the city of Lancaster on a project to manage appliance
recycling services.
Michael Peck, Michael Peck is founder of the MAPA Group and
External Relations Director of Gamesa USA, a major wind
turbine manufacturer with four plants in Pennsylvania that
employ about 900 people.
