OTTAWA, Oct 23 (Reuters) - Groupe Aeroplan Inc AER.TO and the Canadian Auto Workers union said on Friday they have reached a tentative agreement that covers 900 workers at the company's Montreal and Vancouver offices.
Aeroplan, which operates Air Canada's (ACa.TO) frequent flier program, and the union began talks in early September.
The union said it will hold ratification meetings for members of Montreal local 2002 on Oct. 28, and for the Vancouver local on Oct. 29. Terms were not released.
"This is a good agreement which ends many months of insecurity for our members," said union local 2002 president Leslie Dias in a statement.
The union's bargaining unit said it unanimously recommended acceptance of the deal.
Aeroplan shares were up 5 Canadian cents at C$9.21 on the Toronto Stock Exchange on Friday.
