BANGALORE Oct 23 (Reuters) - Indian drug maker Dr Reddy's Laboratories Ltd (REDY.BO) said on Friday its consolidated quarterly profit rose 176.8 percent, helped by the launch of new generics in the overseas market.

The New York-listed company (RDY.N) reported a net profit of 2.4 billion rupees ($51.7 million) in July-September, its fiscal second quarter, compared with 866.4 million rupees in the year-ago period.

Net sales rose to 18.1 billion rupees from 15.76 billion year-ago.
