Taiwan's Chi Mei to move equipment into new LCD plant

TAIPEI Oct 26 (Reuters) - Chi Mei Optoelectronics Corp 3009.TW, Taiwan's No.2 LCD maker, said on Monday it would move equipment into an LCD plant using advanced 8.5-generation technology at the end of 2009.

The announcement came after the Taipei stock market closed on Monday. Chi Mei shares finished down 0.6 percent, against the main TAIEX's .TWII 0.25 percent rise. (US$1=T$32.4) (Reporting by Baker Li, Editing by Jonathan Hopfner)
