India's Ranbaxy swings to profit in Q3

NEW DELHI Oct 26 (Reuters) - Ranbaxy Laboratories (RANB.BO), India's top drugmaker by sales, on Monday reported a quarterly profit compared with a loss in the year-ago quarter.

New Delhi-based Ranbaxy, in which Japan's Daiichi Sankyo (4568.T) owns a controlling stake, said its standalone fiscal third quarter ended September was 1.86 billion rupees ($40 million), compared with a loss of 3.53 billion a year earlier.
