BP Texas City snag left output unaffected -sources
HOUSTON |
HOUSTON Oct 26 (Reuters) - A Friday malfunction in a crude unit at BP Plc's (BP.L) 455,790 barrel per day refinery in Texas City, Texas, had no impact on production, sources familiar with refinery operations said on Monday.
The brief malfunction did cause an increase in pollution coming from the refinery, according to a notice filed with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
A BP spokesman declined to discuss refinery operations. (Reporting by Erwin Seba)
