HOUSTON Oct 26 (Reuters) - ConocoPhillips (COP.N) was preparing to shut a gasoline-producing fluidic catalytic cracking unit at its 247,000-barrel-per-day (bpd) Sweeny, Texas, refinery on Monday, according to a notice filed with state pollution regulators.

The shutdown would be to repair a leak in a cooling tower on the unit, according to the notice filed with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. (Reporting by Erwin Seba)
