TOKYO Oct 27 (Reuters) - Partners Renault SA (RENA.PA) and Nissan Motor Co (7201.T) are considering production of batteries for electric vehicles in France, Chief Executive Carlos Ghosn said on Tuesday.

"You can suspect that France is also a place where we are going to build some batteries," Ghosn said at a management forum in Tokyo.

The Franco-Japanese alliance, which aims to take leadership in the zero-emission electric vehicle field with a global roll-out of battery-run cars by 2012, has so far announced plans to manufacture batteries in Japan, the United States, Portugal and Britain.
