Mexican TV Azteca posts 27 pct drop in quarterly net

MEXICO CITY Oct 26 (Reuters) - No. 2 Mexican broadcaster TV Azteca posted a 27 percent dip in third-quarter net profit on Monday compared to the year-ago period, when advertising was boosted by the Olympic Games.
TV Azteca, controlled by billionaire Ricardo Salinas, said its net profit was 358 million pesos ($27 million).
Revenues in the July-September period were 2.4 billion pesos, down 8.2 percent compared to the same quarter last year when the summer games were held.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization declined 2.15 percent to 1.002 billion pesos.
Mexico's television industry is dominated by Televisa (TLVACPO.MX), with around 80 percent market share. ($1=13.5035 pesos at end-Sept) (Reporting by Tomas Sarmiento, editing by Leslie Gevirtz)
