HONG KONG, Oct. 29 (Reuters) - Hong Kong's central bank said on Thursday that it was in talks with local banks about setting guidelines for remuneration for banking staff, which it hopes to introduce next year.

However, the guidelines would not prescribe particular levels of remuneration or impose limits on individual remuneration, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority said. (Reporting by Susan Fenton, Editing by Chris Lewis)
