Oro Silver Board of Directors Re-Elected

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Oct 29 (MARKET WIRE) --
Oro Silver Resources Ltd. ("Oro Silver or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:
OSR) announces the re-election of all six current members of the Board of
Directors by its shareholders. Darren Bahrey, Oro Silver's President and
CEO, stated that maintaining the continuity of the Board will greatly
benefit the Company as we continue to develop our advanced-stage assets
in Zacatecas, Mexico. "We are extremely pleased to have the ongoing
support and commitment from our highly qualified board," said Mr. Bahrey.

The following re-elected Board members include:

Gregory Cox, Chairman - A senior member of the board with a lifelong
record of exploration success, Greg has experienced a number of cycles
and trends over his 34 years in the mining industry. He has also gained a
valuable global perspective. He spent 15 years with Placer Dome as
General Manager of Global Mine-site Exploration where he reviewed, worked
on and collaborated with a number of successful individuals and industry
leaders. With Placer Dome he oversaw the successful expansion of reserves
in Ontario, Nevada, Montana, Chile, Western Australia, Queensland,
Tasmania, Papua New Guinea, and Tanzania. Greg holds a Bachelor of
Science degree in Geology and a Master of Science in Economic Geology.

Darren Bahrey, President, CEO, and Director - Darren formed Oro Silver as
a spin out vehicle from Oro Gold Resources Ltd. allowing shareholders to
benefit from the silver assets held by Oro Gold. He is founder and
President of Oro Gold and director of a number of junior exploration
companies. Darren is a company builder with long-term vision and
expertise in putting together teams that deliver exceptional results. He
is a global thinker and strategist who has developed strong skills in
negotiations and acquisitions. Formerly, as Exploration Manager with
Placer Dome, Darren developed a significant track record in being part of
successes in the discovery and definition of several multi-million ounce
gold deposits in the Americas. He has also had substantial involvement in
the completion of multi-million dollar equity financings and the
formation of a long-term committed shareholder base. Darren holds a
Bachelor of Science degree in Geology.

Derek White, Director - Since 1992 Derek has worked exclusively in the
mining industry, originally with Impala Platinum Ltd. where he held
financial management positions in both mines and operations in South
Africa and also metals trading in London. In 1994 he joined Billiton
International Metals BV where he was part of the Gencor Ltd. acquisition
team. He held executive financial positions with Billiton in The Hague,
London, and in Toronto where he also was Chief Financial Officer. Derek
currently serves as VP Corporate Development for Quadra Mining, a copper
mining company based in Vancouver with mines in Chile and the USA. In
addition to his impressive resume, Derek has developed excellent business
insight and financial strategic abilities. His experience and contacts
have assisted Oro Silver in making high-level introductions with
institutional investors and major mining companies. Derek holds a
Bachelor of Science degree in Geological Engineering and is a Chartered
Accountant.

Greg Martin, Director - As Assistant Treasurer of Finning International
Inc. and former Vice-President and CFO of Zincore Metals Inc., Greg
provides Oro Silver with senior company experience and perspective. He
has held strategic positions with larger mining companies including
Placer Dome, where for ten years he held the positions of Manager of
Corporate Finance and Insurance, General Manager of Business Development,
and Director of Investor Relations. Greg's big-picture perspective and
simultaneous attention to detail have contributed in guiding Oro Silver's
activities. He holds an Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
and a Masters of Business Administration.

Mark Pryor, Director - Mark is a consulting professional geologist with
20 years of management experience in advanced stage exploration and mine
development projects worldwide. He has worked in Mexico, Eurasia, Africa
and South America and held management positions with recognized industry
leaders such as Placer Dome, Minefinders, and Anglo American. Mark has
worked in Mexico for over 15 years and has developed a vast network of
connections and a deep understanding of the country, its peoples and
regulations. He also has the ability to review and assess properties at
all levels of development. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology.

Brian Fowler, Director - Brian has worked with junior, mid-tier and major
mining companies on a global basis for over 29 years. He is currently
President and Chief Executive Officer of one junior exploration company
and a founding director of two others. Brian has served as Exploration
Manager for Quadra Mining Ltd., where he oversaw advanced and
pre-feasibility exploration projects in Chile and Peru. Prior to Quadra,
Brian spent 13 years with Placer Dome Inc. in a variety of technical and
exploration managerial roles. He possesses an eye for technical details,
enabling him to advise management on how best to advance projects. Mr.
Fowler holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology.
