Elegant, Classy Design Ideal for Luxury Cruising and Sport Fishing Yachts
MERRIMACK, N.H. and FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Oct. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Fort
Lauderdale International Boat Show -- Raymarine, Inc., a world leader in
marine electronics, today introduced its new Glass Bridge Monitors for the
G-Series Navigation System. The latest in Raymarine's portfolio of sunlight
viewable displays, the monitors come in two sizes, 15" and 17," and are LED
backlit for optimum viewing performance in all lighting conditions. Inspired
by the sleek appearance of today's PC and television screens, the stylized
glass monitors feature a smooth black surface with no protruding buttons and
may be either flush or surface mounted based on the user's preference.
"Since its introduction, the Raymarine G-Series has been considered the
ultimate navigation system for discerning boat owners," said Dave Bimschleger,
President of Raymarine, Inc. "With the new Glass Bridge Monitors, we're taking
this one step further by bringing the stylized look of today's consumer
electronics products into the marine environment. The sleek, stylish
appearance of these new monitors will enable users to make the interior of
their vessels as comfortable and modern as their own living rooms, a must for
every individual who considers their boat a second home."
Raymarine's G-Series Navigation System combines ultra-bright displays, remote
keyboard control and powerful processors with network sensors for large luxury
cruising and sport fishing yachts. The new Glass Bridge Monitors' on screen
display (OSD) menu provides advanced management of the video inputs, and a
picture in picture (PIP) feature gives users the ability to resize and
reposition the second window anywhere on the display. In addition, the
monitors offer programmable video input names, control from a remote G-Series
keyboard, and a wide 150 degree viewing angle for optimal visibility.
Additional key benefits include:
-- A night mode feature that dims to red for optimum visibility in low
light and can be taken to total black when required.
-- Low-profile mounting that facilitates a clean and unobtrusive
installation with maximum display size in a small footprint.
-- Impact resistant glass bonded to the LCD to improve contrast, minimize
reflections and prevent condensation.
-- An anti-reflective glass filter that further reduces reflections and
optimizes visibility, even in direct sunlight.
