WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., Oct. 29 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Celebrity
entertainer and spokesperson Ben Vereen and SOS Support Our Soldiers, Inc.
would like to invite all Americans to join them for the Inaugural Veterans Day
National Multi-Media 24-Hour Broadcast on November 11, 2009. This
star-spangled celebration is an opportunity to celebrate the American way of
life and take care of our own by showing our gratitude to every U.S. soldier
and veteran.

SOS has partnered with GI Radio, the Connecticut School of Broadcasting, and
Comcast Cable Company to produce a 24-hour Internet Radio and Web TV Live
Streaming simulcast event beginning at 12:01 am on Veterans Day, with
additional support from the Military Channel.

Interviews with celebrities, world-renowned medical professionals, veterans'
organizations, and veteran heroes are planned, while special guests and active
duty troops throughout the world will call in to inspire, educate, and share
stories. Music from every generation will be featured, from the sounds of the
WWII era through today's current hits. Our radio and web TV hosts will invite
Americans to pledge $11 on 11/11 throughout this "Every Penny Counts" campaign
by dialing into our national toll-free hotline or by clicking on the "Donate
Now" button on www.supportoursoldiers.org.

SOS Support Our Soldiers, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to
supporting the many veterans' organizations throughout the nation. As the goal
is to make this an annual event, SOS will choose six new recipients to receive
donations each year.

This year's event will benefit five national charities and one local South
Florida organization. The local organization, Hope*Faith*Love*Charity, Inc.
and its Stand Down House was chosen to honor Mr. Roy Foster, the first CNN
Hero of 2009, for his tireless efforts on behalf of homeless veterans.

The five national organizations selected this year are The Fisher House
Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project, Vietnam Veterans of America, Operation
Mend, and the Korean Veterans Association of America - all deserving
organizations that serve the many needs of our nation's veterans, active duty
soldiers, and their families.

"We are seeking corporate sponsors and asking those in the broadcast, internet
media, and news industry to link to or embed our Live Streaming simulcast in
their web sites by clicking on "Embed" in the SOS Web TV platform accessible
through our website," said Valerie Halaby, president of SOS Support Our
Soldiers.

This is not just another fundraising campaign, this is a movement to renew a
sense of patriotism and pride - to raise awareness and motivate our great
nation. It's time to restore Veterans Day to its rightful place of honor among
our nation's holidays.
