ANGLO & OVERSEAS PLC

Based on a bid price valuation, the unaudited net asset value per Ordinary
Share of the Company as at 28 October 2009 was 107.26 pence including estimated
current period revenue and 106.72 pence excluding current period revenue.

This is based on 74,671,381 Ordinary Shares, being the issued capital of
83,275,319 Ordinary Shares less 8,603,938 Ordinary Shares held in treasury.
