New Service Takes the Hassle and Confusion out of Managing Data Networking
LITTLE ROCK, Ark.--(Business Wire)--
Windstream Corp. (NYSE: WIN) announces its new managed router service for
business customers - a service offered to help customers manage their Internet
and data network systems with increased efficiency, maintain optimal equipment
performance, and expend less internal IT resource efforts, all of which reduce
operational costs and boost productivity.

Effective immediately, Windstream can install, configure and maintain the router
on a customer's premises, providing the convenience and simplicity of having
both their data and equipment services managed by a single provider. The service
is a perfect complement to any next-generation data product offered by
Windstream - Ethernet Internet, Dedicated Internet, VPN and VLS services.

"Basically, it's a `plug and play` arrangement for our business customers. Once
they purchase the router from Windstream, we take care of the rest from day
one," said Don Perkins, vice president of business marketing. "Increasingly,
business customers are turning to Windstream to provide these services so they
can focus on their core business."

Windstream will provide professional configuration, installation and
maintenance, 24x7x365 customer support, and standard firewall functionality for
built-in security measures to protect hardware from cyber threats and hackers
for approved Windstream-provided routers. A wide range of routers from leading
manufacturers is offered, from entry level to complex models, depending on
customer needs and configuration requirements. Customers may choose the level of
warranty, from 4-hour to next-day replacement or repair of faulty equipment,
based on their individual business needs.

Pricing starts at $54.99 per month for the managed router service. Equipment is
priced separately. To learn how to optimize your Internet connections and get
