Runner-up Vyycore Aims to Improve 4G Cellphone Cost, Efficiency
SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(Business Wire)--
Investorfest Media announced today that Telcare was the "best in show" winner of
the MobiTechFest Americas conference held yesterday in Santa Clara, CA. Telcare
offers the first wireless-enabled glucose meter for diabetic patients that
transmits results to a medical management server and returns immediate feedback
to the patient. The unique solution works like a standard glucose meter and the
patient does not have to learn any new behaviors. Preliminary results show
potential to reduce complications and costs of diabetes by more than 37%.

Telcare CEO, Jonathan C. Javitt, M.D., who presented the company`s story to the
MobiTechFest audience of investors, entrepreneurs and corporate executives
yesterday, explained that more than 14 million Americans use glucose meters
every day, and the US market alone is $4 billion. Future plans call for
management of other chronic diseases-such as asthma, heart disease, obesity,
etc.-that eat up 7 out of every 10 dollars spent on healthcare each year.

Investors at the conference were especially impressed with the company`s
management team-who have already achieved success with six healthcare start-ups
that exited in excess of 10x revenue invested-as well as addressing the critical
market requirement for reducing health care costs.

Dr. Javitt said, "The opportunity to present at Investorfest has been uniquely
helpful to Telcare in its evolution. The mobile healthcare, or mHealth, industry
is in its infancy. Although Telcare`s principals have extensive experience in
developing successful companies in the biotechnology and information technology
domains, Investorfest provided us with an unparalleled opportunity to meet
investors and fellow travelers in the wireless and mobile computing domain. As
Telcare continues on its quest to become one of the first companies to present a
lifesaving mHealth solution that also has a compelling and sustainable business
model, the support of Investorfest Media in learning how to address the wireless
industry has been invaluable."

Runner-up Silicon Valley and Tel Aviv-based Vyycore was presented by founder and
president, Doron Koren, who discussed the strain and engineering challenges on
4th generation cellphones with technologies that require 10X the performance at
the same time manufacturers must continue to keep handset prices low. According
to Mr. Koren, old designs have been rendered obsolete by current, and growing,
performance requirements. Vyycore`s solution is to integrate the cellphone`s
entire RF requirements and power amplifier onto a single CMOS chip. The result
is improved RF efficiency, radio output performance, data rate, range, battery
life, and cost to manufacturer. This technology will also improve range for
cellular operators, under pressure from expanding applications and technologies,
and is additionally standards-agnostic, supporting both WiMax and LTE.

Investors awarded high marks for the company`s command of the technical
requirements as well as the potential impact on the market overall.

Mr. Koren expressed his appreciation to MobiTechFest organizers and the
investors who attended, noting, "I had the pleasure of meeting top tier
investors as well as very talented entrepreneurs who represent the `tip of the
sword` of new emerging markets and technologies. I would like to express
gratitude to the entire professional team at MobiTechFest and to the investors
for awarding Vyycore with this honor."
