 Charlie Langlais, previously Managing Director for Mercure, Novotel and Pullman in Germany has beenappointed Chief operating officer Accor Hospitality Middle East, Africa, Indian Ocean and

 Charlie Langlais, 46, is a graduate of the Hotel & Catering
School of Bordeaux. He began his career at Accorin 1983 and has
held various functions in international operations particularly
in the United States and GreatBritain. In 1996, he became
Director of Sales and Marketing for Novotel North America. In
1997, he wastransferred to the United Kingdom as Director of
Operations for Accor Business & Leisure Hotels UK, beforebeing
appointed Managing Director for Novotel and Mercure Hotels in
the UK & Ireland in 2002. Since 2006,he was Regional Managing
Director for Mercure, Novotel and Pullman Germany and also
member of theExecutive Committee of Accor Hotellerie
Deutschland.
 He will replace Jean-Luc Motot, who decided to leave the
Group in order to pursue personal projects, afterhaving done an
outstanding hard work in driving development in this region,
especially in South Africa
