HONG KONG, Oct 29 (Reuters) - Two senior Asia managers at Stark Investments are quitting the hedge fund, taking more than two dozen employees with them, to launch Orchard Capital Partners, sources said on Thursday.
Stuart Wilson and Teall Edds, both principals at Stark, are taking the firm's funds, offices and employees in Hong Kong and Singapore with them, one source, who had direct knowledge of the matter, said.
Efforts to reach Stark's office in Wisconsin were unsuccessful while Wilson and Edds were unavailable for comment on Thursday.
Wilson joined Stark in 1997 before which he was part of the Asian trading team at Citadel Investment Group while Edds joined the firm in 2003 from Credit Suisse where he was the regional head of credit at its financial products division in Hong Kong.
The Milwaukee-based hedge fund, founded by Brian Stark and Mike Roth in 1992, had around $10 billion in assets under management early in 2009, according to media reports. (Editing by Muralikumar Anantharaman)
