Proxy Networks Software Also Supports Mac, Linux and Introduces More
Energy-Saving Power Management Tools

BOSTON, Oct. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Proxy Networks, Inc., a leading provider of
remote desktop software for Windows since Windows 3.11, announced today the
general availability of PROXY Pro 7.0, the newest version of its flagship
product featuring remote PC access software for 32- and 64-bit versions of
Windows 7, as well as 64-bit Windows Server 2008 R2.

"Our customers and partners around the world told us they were excited about
Windows 7. We worked hard to deliver PROXY Pro 7 so that they would have a
reliable remote desktop solution, with full remote control and remote
management capabilities, when Windows 7 was released," said Andy Kim, CEO of
Proxy Networks, Inc.

Mac & Linux, Too

For the first time, PROXY Pro 7.0 introduces peer-to-peer remote access and
remote control of Macintosh and Linux computers. The target machines must be
configured to run a standard VNC server (built into Macintosh operating
systems) but will not need any additional software to support remote access
from PROXY Pro 7.0.

"PROXY Pro is the preferred choice of hundreds of schools, colleges and other
educational organizations. Now, with Macintosh and Linux support, we can help
them broaden their coverage to the rest of their communities, both on campus
and increasingly, at home," said Nicole Omsted, Senior Sales Manager for Proxy
Networks.

More Power Management Tools

Building on the secure Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI)-based remote
management software tools introduced in the previous release, PROXY Pro 7.0
provides additional tools to manage power consumption by remote computers,
including ability to shutdown and wakeup remote computers, and to view and
edit power schemes.

Simplified Deployment with Active Directory to Unattended Machines

Easy-to-use remote deployment tools in PROXY Pro 7.0 can now utilize Active
Directory to discover remote computers, and automatically install PROXY Pro
software on them. The remote deployment tools can also be used to upgrade
existing software or to push configuration changes to both attended and
unattended machines.
