Obama says pressed Karzai on governance

WASHINGTON Nov 2 (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama said on Monday he spoke to Afghan President Hamid Karzai and pressed him on better governance and corruption after a "messy" election.

Obama also said he told Karzai he wanted to see actions and would monitor the situation to ensure there is progress in Afghanistan.
