Adobe and Accenture veteran hired to lead the company's West Coast operation
SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, at Enterprise 2.0, Universal Mind
[http://universalmind.com], creator of custom next-generation software
applications for the Web, desktop, kiosks, and mobile devices, announced the
opening of a new office in San Francisco. The new San Francisco office
broadens the reach of the company's full-service offering of Web-application
design, development and project management, and will tap into a rich talent
base in the region. The new location is the third Universal Mind office, and
is led by Chris Rogers, formerly of Adobe Systems Incorporated.
"Despite the economic downturn we have experienced strong demand for our
custom Web applications, and are excited to expand our presence in San
Francisco and the Silicon Valley," said Brett Cortese, president of Universal
Mind. "We believe that our approach to user-experience driven design combined
with our technical expertise and solid methodology are the reasons why we've
been successful to date, and why we expect to continue that success as our
company expands."
Chris Rogers recently joined Universal Mind as managing director to lead the
new San Francisco office bringing a strong background in technology consulting
within industry-defining practices from Accenture to Adobe. At Accenture,
Chris led project management offices for some of their largest clients, and
parlayed this experience to co-found consulting practices for Web technology
start-ups during the 1990's. Most recently, Rogers spent six years with Adobe
Systems where he played a key role in the development of Adobe's Consulting
Services practice. In 2003, Chris was among Adobe's first hires in their
budding consulting practice, and went on to hold key leadership positions,
culminating in the overall management of the West Region. Chris' team
architected and built industry-defining applications including two MAX Award
winners, and one of Time Magazine's Top 50 Websites for 2008. Rogers concluded
his time at Adobe by overseeing the most successful year in history for Adobe
Consulting's West Region before departing in 2009.
"Universal Mind is a great fit for me--the team shares my passion for solving
customers' business challenges with well-designed custom Web applications,"
said Rogers. "There are tremendous opportunities ahead and I'm thrilled to
have joined an organization that has been, and will continue to be, at the
forefront of rich Internet application innovation."
Universal Mind is attending the Enterprise 2.0 conference this week in San
Francisco, and can be found at booth #827.
