BioteQ Re-Starts Water Treatment Operations On Schedule in Australia

  VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Nov 02 (MARKET WIRE) -- 
BioteQ Environmental Technologies Inc. (TSX: BQE), a leader in the
treatment of industrial waste water, has commenced water treatment
operations at the Mt. Gordon mine site in Australia on schedule. The
plant is removing dissolved copper from acidic mine drainage, and is
currently treating water at a rate of approximately 200 cubic meters per
hour. The current acid water inventory in the Esperanza Pit at the Mt.
Gordon site is over 6 million cubic meters. BioteQ has re-established an
operating crew on-site to provide continuous water treatment plant
operations.

    BioteQ has worked with the site owner, Birla Mt. Gordon Pty. Ltd.
("Birla"), a subsidiary of Aditya Birla Minerals, to re-establish water
treatment operations, following a severe flooding event in January. Birla
has agreed to purchase the copper inventory and production from the water
treatment plant, based on prevailing market pricing. The companies are in
discussions about additional water treatment services that may be
required at the site.
