HUD Receives Excellence in Enterprise Architecture Award

ARLINGTON, Va., Nov. 2 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Thomas & Herbert Consulting
LLC (T&H) announced today that the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban
Development (HUD) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) was awarded
the Excellence in Enterprise Architecture Award by the 1105 Government
Information Group and the Federated Enterprise Architecture Certification
(FEAC) Institute.  The award recognized HUD for use of Enterprise Architecture
best practices in achieving efficiencies, greater effectiveness, transparency,
and increased collaboration and innovation in developing solutions to mission
goals.  HUD's Acquisition Modernization Initiative yielded increased business
process efficiencies and the elimination of non-value added steps in the
acquisition process.  

The award was presented to Ms. Ylanda Ford, HUD's Chief Architect and Director
of Enterprise Architecture, on September 10th, 2009 during the Enterprise
Architecture Conference held at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, DC. 


T&H has been under contract delivering Enterprise Architecture services for
the HUD OCIO since October 2004.  The Firm's support includes modernization
and business transformation, enterprise-wide business modeling, enterprise
strategy, technology and transition planning.
