Their Excellencies the Right Honourable Michaelle Jean, Governor General
of Canada, and Mr. Jean-Daniel Lafond will welcome Their Royal Highnesses
The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall upon their arrival in
Newfoundland and Labrador, and then at Rideau Hall, in Ottawa, on the
occasion of Their Royal Highnesses' official visit to Canada, which will
take place from November 2 to 12, 2009.

    During their stay in Canada's capital region, Their Royal Highnesses will
reside at Rideau Hall.

    Arrival Ceremony for Their Royal Highnesses

in Canada during a ceremony at Mile One Centre in St. John's,
Newfoundland and Labrador.

    Tree Planting Ceremony

    Their Royal Highnesses will participate in the planting of an oak tree
during a ceremony on the grounds of Rideau Hall. The tradition of
planting a tree during Royal or State visits began with Earl Grey,
Governor General of Canada (1904-1911).
